CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test It is conducted twice in a year by CBSE. CTET is a qualifying exam in the field of Teaching. The national MHRD entrusted responsibility for conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test to the CBSE, Delhi.

Eligibility Of Central Board of Secondary Education 

  • Candidates should have qualified 10+2 with 50% from a recognized organization.
  • Candidates must have a qualified graduation level.
  • Candidates should qualify B.Ed./ B.El.Ed course or teaching Training program.
  • Candidate should be a Citizen of India.
  • Age: There is no age restriction, candidates should be minimum 17 years of age.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD/OBC in the qualifying exam.

PAPER-I

In Child Development and Pedagogy subject will be:

  • Development of a Primary School Child-15 marks.
  • Learning and Pedagogy- 5 marks

In Language 1 subject will be:

  • Language Comprehension- 15 marks
  • Pedagogy of Language Development- 15 marks

In Language 2 subject will be:

  • Language Comprehension- 15 marks
  • Pedagogy of Language Development- 15 marks

In Mathematics content will be:

  • Numbers, Solving Simple Equations, Algebra, Geometry Patterns, Time, Measurement, Data Handling, Solids, Data Handling, etc.)- 15 marks
  • Pedagogical issues- 15 marks

In Environmental Studies content will be:

  • Environment, Food, Shelter, Water, Family, and Friends, etc.- 15 marks
  • Pedagogical Issues- 15 marks.

PAPER-II

In Child Development and Pedagogy subject will be:

  • Development of an Elementary School Child- 15 marks.
  • Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs- 5 marks.
  • Learning and Pedagogy- 10 marks.

In Language 1 subject will be:

  • Language Comprehension- 15 marks
  • Pedagogy of Language Development- 15 marks.

In Language 2 subject will be:

  • Language Comprehension- 15 marks
  • Pedagogy of Language Development- 15 marks

In Mathematics content will be:

  • Mathematics Number system, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Handling Pedagogical issues- 20 marks.
  • Pedagogical issues- 10 marks
  • Science Food, Materials, The world of the living, Moving things, people and ideas, How things work, Natural phenomena, and resources- 20 marks.

In Social Studies content will be:

  • History, Geography, Social and Political Science- 40 marks.
  • Pedagogical issues- 20 marks.
